I've been a member of a gym for six months..

'I haven't lost a pound'
'I don't look any different!'
'It's boring'
'Nobody talks to me'
'There never seems to be anyone around to help'

Some of the lines we hear every day from gym members.

All these comments can be collected and placed in a single folder.. LACK of RESULTS! In order to continue any diet or training regime we all need to gain some reward for all the hard work we're putting in.
All the comments above can be attributed to incorrect advice or the absence of motivational techniques, two qualities the good health & fitness professional must possess

Ask The Question 'why do you find it hard to workout' and the answer most commonly used will be 'I don't have time'. In some cases this is probably true, in the majority however, it's a self-satisfying excuse not to get involved. Why is that?
In the early stages of human evolution we had to go out run, climb and fight for food. It would make sense then not to over-do the calorie wasting act of too much activity. We never knew when or if our next meal would arrive. In search of easier calorie gathering capabilities the human mind has evolved rapidly. Our bodies however, remain in the realm of running climbing hunter-gatherers.
Waterwise..
It's the main transport system, it regulates temperature, it protects vital organs, it is the stuff of life, it is.. water.
Your body system requires a constant intake of water to function on a normal day-to-day basis.
Studies have shown an average adult can lose more than three liters of water, just sitting around. Start to exercise, even mildly, and your bodies water requirement increases significantly. Don't run on empty, drink 500ml of water every couple of hours throughout the day. When in training increase this to 500ml every hour and 500ml every 30 minutes whilst working out.
The majority of commercial health clubs are very well equipped. Unfortunately, a large portion of these clubs fail in the area that matters most, good, knowledgable and experienced instructor advice. It is a fact employees of commercial clubs tend to be young just starting on their careers. Until health club owners start to attract qualified experienced staff with good pay deals, clubs will continue to experience it's members joining and within a couple of months, leaving. Why? health & fitness is not just a business. To be successful health clubs will have to realise, their members are individuals and need to be treated as such.
It is within this arena that Paul Graham H&F operates. We understand the individual; YOU. Paul Graham H&F has the expertise, knowledge and motivational techniques that will help you realise your goals.
